Are you a non-taxpayer? You could be paying tax and not even know it!!

Over 5 million people on low incomes (non-taxpayers and/or students) in the UK are paying over £300 million a year in tax to the chancellor. Just two minutes spent filling in a simple form (R85), which is readily available from your bank or building society, would avoid account holders having to pay unnecessary tax on their savings. Once the Inland Revenue is informed of an individual's non-taxpayer status, interest can be paid free of tax (gross) into their savings account.

If you're a non-taxpayer and haven't done so already, pop into your bank or building society, and obtain an R85 form, fill in the blanks and return it to your bank - it's as simple as that.
